Miss Garden loved to plant.

Sometimes, she would plant silk flowers. But they quickly grew moldy, and some blew away and disappeared.

Other times, she would plant pretty thoughts. But these never bloomed, and in fact, never appeared above the soil.

And still other times, she would plant paper bushes. These looked stunning from a distance, but when the rain came, they instantly turned to mushy piles of sickly looking color.

And then, Miss Garden would plant trees. Real trees. Trees that bore seeds, that grew, that turned green in summer. And when she did this she planted hope, she planted life …

…she planted a future.
