You wish.

Sometimes you see other creatives and feel sad inside.

Like an experience which was supposed to be yours–is somehow unattainable. Thoughts become the voices in your head pulling you back …

“I’m not creative.”

“I could never do that.”

“Just wasn’t born with the gift.”

Even though, deep down, your hands long to hold a paintbrush.

You get excited about pulling out paints and setting up a canvas. And perhaps–deep down, you believe you were meant to be a highly impactful artist in todays world.

But is it possible?

It’s not like you have a lot of time or availability. Or maybe its a fear of failure that pushes you away from the canvas?

You know what?

YOU can be a creative.

I’m thinking about the idea of starting an online “open studio”. Something that anyone can attend and either follow along with whatever abstract/floral/landscape I’m painting or create their own work.

I’d give instructions and answer questions and we can have a shared discussion in the chat as well.

It’d be a safe space for anyone just wanting to get started. For those who want to pursue a gentle, relaxing form of art. For those who want to be inspired and encouraged. Who’d like to give painting a try.

And it’d be just $5 per household for a session. You could bring your friends over, or have family join in.

It’s even less than buying a coffee for everyone, and yet a fun activity to help form friendships and support your artistic side! :)

What do you think? If this sounds like a perfect fit for you or a friend, let me know! :)

P.S. Here’s a relaxing video of a painting I created some time ago. :) While the studio sessions wouldn’t be outside, and the quality of the filming would be different, and I probably wouldn’t create a painting this big from start to finish during a session, it does give you a fun behind-the scenes of a painting.
