”Thou, O God, didst send a plentiful rain, whereby Thou didst confirm Thine inheritance, when it was weary.”
Psalm 68:9 KJV
You, yes you …(your name right here complete with a gentle dash of sparkles) are welcome here.
Welcome, home, sweet, sensitive soul.
That time you wept in the night with no one to listen to your sobs …that time you’ve struggled with the wonder of why—why, God? That time anxiety weighed on you so much that you began to be afraid of how badly you needed healing …
To the grieving friend, in all those times you’ve been weeping unseen …will you let this little corner whisper in your night? You are seen of God.
To the suffering friend, in all the moments of lonely, heart-wrenching “whys?” …will you let my heart offer comfort? God understands.
To the anxious friend, in all the moments that you feel the weight of emotional strain …will you let me reach out a hand of empathy? Let me tell us both? There’s hope.
Dear friend, you are welcome here. You’re safe here. You’re seen. Like coming across a flickering set of candles in a quiet window, know that this is a new and special space …where you belong. For the tender soul that needs a place to heal. That needs a haven of rest. That longs for a fresh landscape of hope.
My name is Melissa, but foremost, I am a child of God, being carried by the One Who is much greater than myself …a child with a sensitive heart, who weeps too. Will you let me reach out and offer a hug through these daubs of paint and blendings of color? I pray that hope kindles in your heart like the sparkles of glitter you’ll find in all this color. I pray that Living Water will come right to where your soul needs it the most, carried home on the wings of a canvas. There *is* hope, quiet one. There *is* a future purpose ahead. There *is* healing in this sorrow.
