Hello friend!! Here’s a behind-the-scenes look at this gentle floral piece that I created in one of my sketchbooks. I pulled some flowers from the baskets next to the art desk and put them in a container. These became a guide and inspiration as I worked! :)
I started with some colored pencil lines and then came in with some watercolor. Have you tried the shimmer watercolor? I love it!! You can see shimmers in the purple petals on the cone flowers!!
I decided to put watercolor around the various floral forms and definitely continued to use shimmer paint in the process!! :)
I also used acrylic marker and oil pastel in the design! Oil pastels are a really neat medium! Have you tried them?
