There’s a song resting amongst numerous others between the hard blue covers of a book (with many exactly like it) in the family room of our home. Hymnbooks yes, but they could perhaps also be called “pointing-to-the-Truth” books as well. While the songs may be the thoughtfully written meditations of man, they can become mental vehicles to what is lovely and true and right.

What a moment of confusion, agony, despair, mockery, painful hope and redemption-filled triumph.

In that moment, a woven tapestry of meaning–a fabric that had symbolized sinful man’s separation from a holy and righteous God–that drapery of weaving–was torn.
