Miss Peggy Periwinkle was so excited to go shopping.
After selecting her favorite purple bauble purse, she eagerly stepped outside.
“It would be so helpful to take a ride to the store,” she said aloud, with perplexitiy.
“Please, ma’am, I’ll take you!!” Squealed an eager voice just behind her.
Miss Peggy Periwinkle turned and tried not to let her dismay show on her face.
A snail?
When she was in a hurry?
But Miss Peggy Periwinkle was a very kind type of person, and she didn’t want to hurt the snail’s feelings. Besides, did it really matter how fast she got to the store?
“Thank-you!” She said cheerily.
And moments later, Miss Peggy Periwinkle was taking “The Express Co.” (at a snail’s pace) to the store–with a smile!
