Are you familiar with the story of Lydia from Acts 16? How this woman, this seller of purple, was transformed through the hand of God and impacted by the ministry of Paul? (See Acts 16:14-15.)
Where her heart was (vs. 14) and who she listened to (vs. 14) made a big impact on what she did! Where is our heart, and who are we listening to? What then will we do and how will we take action?
“And I will give them an heart to know me, that I am the LORD: and they shall be my people, and I will be their God: for they shall return unto me with their whole heart.” Jeremiah 24:7
“That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.” Romans 10:9
Beautiful painting and great reminder! Truly it matters what we delight in! (Psalm 37:4)
Thanks so much for the encouragement, Melanie!! And that’s a great verse. Psalm 1:2 is another good one for the word “delight”!
Thanks for sharing your thoughts and art, Melissa, and sharing this example from Lydia to inspire us. ❤
You’re so welcome, Hannah!! Thanks so much for your kind words!!
