Would you like to improve your colored pencil work? Today’s post has two tips that can help move you forward!

1. Use a Circular Motion When Coloring

One way to color is to try to creating small, overlapping ovals with gentle pressure. Try starting slow, with a light touch. (Be sure to keep your pencil sharp too.) :)

2. Layer!

Layer, layer, layer …when you color slowly, with small ovals and keep your pressure light, start layering your colors. This is a great way to bring a prettier depth and feel to your coloring. If you want a certain flower to be pink, color it pink and then add in some other colors …maybe lightly add orange or add a pinkish-purple.
